About Us

We are a small family farm near Bend, OR. We have two Jersey cows that provide lots of fresh real milk! We board horses and have pasture, dry lots with shelters, a nice arena, and lots of trails. We also raise organically grown garlic. Certain varieties of garlic grow well in the high desert - Chesnok Reds are our favorite; we also grow California Early and Susanville.

Planting Garlic

Fall is here and it is time to plant the garlic!  October 29th we tackled the garlic patch...  Weeds needed pulling;  ground needed tilling; rows built; garlic planted; and finally, a heavy layer of straw for the winter.  It feels good to have it done.  Thanks Jason, Allie and Claire (cousins) for all your help!

Josephine the Jersey Cow

"Josephine" arrived on October 22nd as a replacement for our old cow "Penny".  She freshened on Aug. 22nd and came producing lots of wonderful sweet milk.  "Josephine" and "Annabelle" have become buddies and have settled in to a nice routine on the farm.  We have a limited amount of extra milk available until Nov. 20th.  We will stop milking "Annabelle" at this time so she can have a couple months off before she calves the end of January.
